Glenda J. Motta, Past President of the Wound Ostomy Continence Nurses Society (WOCN), holds a B.S. in nursing from the University of Maryland and a Masters in Public Health from The Johns Hopkins University. She was one of the first nurses funded by the Maryland Cancer Society to attend the Enterostomal Therapy program at Harrisburg Hospital. Following completion of that program, she served for many years as a volunteer with the Metro Maryland Ostomy Association. For over 33 years, Glenda has provided U.S. and international medical device companies assistance in solving coding, coverage, and reimbursement dilemmas. She has extensive experience with HCPCS coding issues, conducting product evaluations, providing sales training on reimbursement, and designing and coordinating clinical trials. She is renowned as a clinician who understands the business of healthcare. Ms. Motta has authored over 150 articles, chapters, and poster presentations. She currently works and resides in Loveland, Colorado.
