ALLEVYN* Gentle is a versatile and comformable non-bordered foam dressing suitable for a variety of wounds. Cuttable, soft, and conformable with multi-way stretch.
• Gentle adhesive allows dressing to come off lightly for less painful dressing changes
• Absorbs, retains and transpires exudate to provide optimal fluid management
• Gel adhesive holds dressing in place during application for easier application
• Maintains optimal moist wound environment to promote faster healing
• Longer wear time for fewer dressing changes
• Waterproof outer film protects wound
ALLEVYN* Gentle is indicated for use as wound management by secondary intention on shallow, granulating wounds, chronic and acute exudating wounds, full- and partial-thickness wounds including: leg ulcers, diabetic foot ulcers, surgical wounds, first- and second-degree burns, skin graft donor site, skin tears, and pressure injuries.
Do not use ALLEVYN* Gentle dressings with oxidizing agents such as hypochlorite solutions (eg, EUSOL) or hydrogen peroxide, as these can break down the absorbent polyurethane component of the dressing.
When used under compression, ALLEVYN* Gentle could become dislodged if the limb experiences a rapid reduction in edema.
If reddening or sensitization occur, discontinue use.

Cleanse the wound in accordance with normal procedures. Select appropriate dressing size. Prepare and clean the skin surrounding the wound area by removing excess moisture. Any excess hair should be clipped to ensure close approximation to the wound.
Using aseptic technique, remove the protector material from ALLEVYN* Gentle and apply the adherent side to the wound, ensuring good contact all the way around. Secure with a dressing retention sheet, tape or bandage.
During the early stages of wound management, ALLEVYN* Gentle dressings should be inspected frequently. Where the product is used on infected wounds, the infection should be inspected and treated as per local clinical protocol. Dressings can be left in place undisturbed for up to 7 days or until exudate is visible and approaches to within (5/8)" of the edge of the dressing, whichever is sooner.
